My name is Lisa and I and my husband live in Atascocita, TX. We share our home with FIVE furry babies. We have Conner who is a red heeler mix. My husband rescued him 7 years ago when someone pushed him out of a car and sped away. Conner was skin and bones, but today he's a healthy and happy 80 pound lap dog. It's true what they say....one man's trash, is another man's treasure. Conner has showed us more love than we can ever measure. (I didn't mean for that to rhyme)

We also have Kaci who is a 7 year old Jack Russell "Terror".

There's Kayleigh who is Turkish Angora. I rescued her in 1996 a few hours before an ice storm hit our area. We kept each other warm for three days/nights and the rest is history!

There's Kassidy who is a siamese. She pretty much came with the house. The story is that she belonged to the elderly lady who lived in our house prior to us. When she died, the family sold the home and left the lady's cat behind. The next door neighbor fed her occassionally, and six months after we moved into the house, the neighbors moved out and again left Kassy behind. I gave her the name Kassidy, we don't know what her name was before. We adopted her when we learned that she was once again abandoned and I promised her she would NEVER be abandoned again.

Last but not least, is 1 year old Maytag. My husband rescued him last year as a 6 week old kitten after someone abandoned him in a clothes dryer (hence his name).

I would also like to mention my 15 year old Bombay named Cole, who left us to go to the Rainbow Bridge on August 4, 2008. I adopted him from a shelter when he was about 5 months old. He was my constant companion and his presence is greatly missed

I also have a 3 year old goldfish named Kiah and a two year old African Dwarf Frog named Christian. Both of their significant others' (Kye & Kirsten) died last year.

Welcome! Nice to meet you and your furry family!

I have 9 rescue cats. Julie Camille, was on deaths door at a pet sore so I snagger her up 12 years ago. She is a gorgeous cat and has been featured in CatFancy magazine and also was in 2 differnet calendars! Julie has lupus.

Then there is Anita Louise who came from the shelter near us. She is a cow cat and has a great hershey kiss on her nose! She has a severe anxiety diorder and takes valium each day and does well on it.

THen we have Missy Bright Eyes who was a feral in our yard that I was feeding until I trapped her. She has liver failure for 3 years and was finally cured!

Lilly Rose and Roger Bob are her kittens we kept. Lilly has severe asthma and Roger is still very feral and won't let us touch him, although he DOES sleep with me at night. He had bladder crystals and had to have his inside reworked to be able to urinate properly.

Then along came Benjamin Eddie who was 5 weeks old and sat outisde my bedroom window crying one night. We snagged him in a squirrel sized have a heart trap. He is such a cutie and he also has bladder crystals.

Silvia Christina was a resourceful kitten living under a friends porch until she invited herself in. Since this friend was on Chemo at the time she couldn't keep her and she came to me. She is the tiniest cutest little thing! One time, she ate string and almost died from it. Her surgery took several hours and 7 incisions to remove it. She is doing great now.

Lastly, Johnny Gizmo and Davey George came from Ohion after Hurricane Ivan flooded the place. I was volunteering with Noah's Wish out there when we heard of these little fellows who were found drowning in a barn. A local shelter took them in but were going to kill them because they were loaded with fleas. I snagged them and took them home with me. Got rid of the fleas but the worms almost killed them. Vet had a very hard time getting them out of their tiny bodies. See, they were only 4-5 weeks old and the worms jus didn't want to let go. The vet FINALLY got them out of them and they are fine.

So, thats my wonderful family, oh besides my husband!
